COURAGE & STUPIDITY-This film is a witty short based on a young Steven Spielberg and His struggle to complete His film JAWS. Todd Wall gives an impressive and noteworthy performance as a young Spielberg, He even looks like Him. Wall is joined by Aaron Fiore who stars as a young George Lucas, and yep...He looks and acts just like Lucas. Amazing casting is probably the reason this film is getting so much attention right now. And since this film is based on Jaws We also get to see Richard Dreyfuss, who is played flawlessly by Kahil Dotay.Some of the funniest moments in the film come from Dotay and His dead on Dreyfuss impersonation. The main reason I enjoyed this film so much is that it was a Fan Film paying homage to the creators, rather than just their creations. Another fine example of this would be the short GEORGE LUCAS IN LOVE (check it out if You haven't already). For all of You Movie Buffs out there see if You can spot the little nods to Spielberg's other films hidden in the films dialouge. Everybody loves a good film about the underdog fighting the good fight and coming out on top, This film does that and more. One of My favorite moments in the film is when Spielberg is trying to convince producers that His film will make people afraid to go in the water again (now We know how it all started).
