PAC-MAN-In the world of Fan Films, video game based shorts, by fans, are steadily on the rise. However, films based on retro video game characters seem to be in the minority. With, Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and the like, all getting their own Fan Films, the characters of my youth can only boast about a small handful Fan Film tributes. Well, all that is looking to change big time with the release of this awesome Fan Trailer, by Scott Gairdner, starring the king of old school gaming, Pac-Man! This trailer provides a unique spin on the Pac-Man legacy replacing Pac-Man with a helmeted human character clad in a yellow biker outfit, and armed with a ghost blasting rifle. Don't moan and groan yet purists, when you check out the trailer for yourselves you will see just how witty this piece of work is, and how it remains faithful to the spirit of the original game by incorporating many knods to the arcade classic throughout the trailer. Kudos are also given to Mr. Gairdner for not taking the subject matter too seriously. While providing you with a cheap chuckle or two, this clever piece of fan cinema should also leave you thinking, Hey, I want more! Now THAT'S a job well done. Click HERE for the trailer.
