I love the characters I refer to as the Boogeymen - Freddy, Jason, Michael, Chucky, Leatherface. The idea for one of these guys up against Superman had been rattling around in my head for a while, but I honestly could never find the hook. There had to be a reason. Finally, while driving to work just recently, it all came together. If Freddy could get inside the Man of Steel's head, and somehow siphon off Superman's power, it would make him even stronger - maybe even strong enough to cross over.
