JUDGE MINTY- Coming soon, to a monitor near you, is this 2000 AD/Judge Dredd based Fan Film (By Steven Sterlacchini) starring a rather obscure character (created by John Wagner & Mike McMahon) Judge Minty. Minty is an aging Judge forced into retirement for having too mucg compassion. Minty chooses to take The Long Walk that leads to The Cursed Earth, to bring his brand of law to the lawless. Edmund Dehn has been cast in the lead role of Minty, and the film features an appearance by Judge Dredd, played by Greg Staples. This one looks impressive, the costume, and prop work, is amazing! BUCK ROGERS-IN THE 25TH CENTURY - Coming soon, to a galaxy near you, will be this brand new web series from The Dille Family Trust, James Cawley (The man behind Star Trek-New Voyages, and Star Trek-Phase II), and The Cawley Entertainment Company. The series looks to take the Buck Rogers franchise in a new direction, while maintaing the spirit of the original Golden Age comic strip star. This will be the first live action series of Buck Rogers in nearly 30 years, and the first web based series featuring the characters from the Buck Rogers universe.

STAR TREK-THE MIRROR WAR-In this Trek Fan film by Christopher Vickers and Two If By Sea Productions, the mirror universes from the original Star Trek series will collide in a massive war that could decide the fate of the Empire in the mirrorverse...and it all begins with one captain in the Empire deserting them to join the Federation after nearly six months planning it and knowing exactly where the gate was between the two. Mr. Vickers looks to release this film in two parts, each being full length features. I will keep you all updated once new information is made available. THE SCARAB-Synopsis from the creator:"THE SCARAB is a superhero film based on the 1940's Nedor Comics hero of the same name. Principal photography is now complete on the film, and more of the feature (including Golden Age scenes) will be filmed in July. Being a big fan of Golden Age comics, I am super-psyched to check this one out!

UNDERWORLD-BLOOD TIES- Underworld Bloodties is a prequel to the hit franchise Underworld. It is in preproduction and will begin shooting in the next few months.
This prequel unlike Rise of the Lycans takes place a few weeks before Amelia and the Council are assassinated and Victor is awaken. A more in depth look into Selene and who she is and why she is the way she is, and why she has a fondness for humans. Visit the film's offical Myspace page for more.

FREDDY VS. SUPERMAN - Here are a few words on this upcoming project from the films creator, and Swashbuckler Studios.. "I'm also a big Horror fan. I love the characters I refer to as the Boogeymen - Freddy, Jason, Michael, Chucky, Leatherface. The idea for one of these guys up against Superman had been rattling around in my head for a while, but I honestly could never find the hook. There had to be a reason. Finally, while driving to work just recently, it all came together. If Freddy could get inside the Man of Steel's head, and somehow siphon off Superman's power, it would make him even stronger - maybe even strong enough to cross over. THE BLADERUNNER CHRONICLES: A series of short Bladerunner films are currently in production. ANCANAR- This film takes it's inspiration from the works of J.R.R Tolkien. The production stills look mighty impressive (Eat your heart our Peter Jackson!) Another Punisher Fan Film is on the way courtesy of Madmen Pictures. The film is entitled PUNISHER-REQUIEM and it will feature a cameo from everybody's friendly neighborhood Spider...Spider-Man! Ronin Entertainment are currently working on not one, but TWO Mighty Marvel Fan Films. In the works are IRON FIST-OMEGA and AVENGERS 2040. The Avengers film will mix 3D effects with live action. Blinky Productions throws their comic book hat into the ring with the up and coming release BATMAN/PUNISHER-REDEMPTION. The Punisher is after a serial killer named The Preacherman, A twisted Televangelist from Hell who is sacrificing innocent women. Little does ol' Frank know that The Dark Knight is also on the trail of the twisted psychopath. Since murder isn't Bats style the two bump heads and all Hell breaks loose. BATMAN-THE PUNISHMENT-This upcoming film by Risk Productions has The Punisher in Gotham City tracking a killer who had a part in His families murder. Well, We all know Batman's rule...NO KILLING. Batman tries to get to the killer before The Punisher exacts His revenge Frank Castle style. This film also Has The Dark Knight taking on Jonathan Crane and His twisted plans to release fear inducing chemicals all over Gotham. BIRDS OF PREY-That's right Fanboy's, a new Fan Film is currently in the works thanks to the folks over at Ikuzo Studios West! Lex Luthor's secret criminal files are being hacked into so Luthor hires Sam Slade (Deathstroke) with the help of Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn to solve the problem. One small thing the bad guys seemed to overlook is that the hacker is none other than Barbara Gordon AKA Oracle. To get to Oracle the team of baddies will have to get through Oracle's first line of defense, The Birds Of Prey! This baby promises to be Fantabulous with appearances by a mini who's who of the DC universe. Making appearances will be Lex Luthor,Deathstroke,Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Batgirl, Green Lantern John Stewart,Lucy Lane,and Terra. The casting looks very promising so far, check out the pic (right) of Laura Kidwell who will be playing Black Canary for proof positive (YOWZA!). Johnny Wu and MDI Film's have announced a sequel to their ready to be released film A JOKER'S CARD. This one looks to be a far cry from A JOKER'S CARD dropping the silly stuff for a much darker feel. BATGIRL AND THE BIRDS OF PREY- Coming Soon from Titan Entertainment BATGIRL AND THE BIRDS OF PREY tells the tale of a New Gotham, A place shaken with fear by a recent crimewave started by a Gang of young criminals trying to live up to the exploits of their twisted Mentors. The recent events have gained the attention of New Gotham's #1 Female Crimefighters The Birds Of Prey! Joining them will be a Batgirl in training named Cassandra Cain, but can She be trusted? I just received news from a Filmmaker named Kyle who is currently producing a Captain America Fan Film! Kyle informed Me that His film has a fairly large budget complete with a snappy costume and real Military vehicles to add to the authenticity of the WWII story. That's right, This film will focus on Cap during His days in WWII leading a group of paratroopers into battle. Kyle also tells Me that the Cap in the film will be more like The Ultimates version of the character. More details will be on the way shortly along with an official website and pics of the costume. The suspense is killing Me!

THE NEW GHOSTBUSTERS:TAMPA DISTRICT-The Ghost and Goblins are running wild in Tampa Bay with a recent surge in paranormal activity in the area. When things begin to spin out of control three college students decide to suit up and strap on their proton packs becoming the newest Ghostbusting team. Jealous with their newfound popularity and success a jealous old friend resurfaces and forms an Anti-Ghostbusting organization to knock the wind out of their sails. AMBUSH BUG:THE MOVIE-On the way from Director Skott Stotland comes a Fan Film featuring a very unlikely subject, Ambush Bug! The film will be Stotland's first and has Ambush Bug taking on the Hell that is Hollywood! The film will also co-star Batman and Superman! No release dates yet but I'll keep You posted. BATMAN VS. CAPTAIN AMERICA - On the way from Director Stephen Able comes this Fanboy wet dream. When an untouchable Gotham Crime Boss brings the city to it's knees Commisioner Gordon calls on His number one enforcer to get the job done. While on the Crime Boss's trail The Batman runs into some unexpected resistance in the form or Marvel's star spangeled warrior Captain America! BATMAN-DISMAL FUTURE-Coming Your way in 2006 is this Batman Fan Film from Director SM Murphy and Aviator Pictures. In the not too distant future all of the World's Heroes are killed off leaving Batman Our sole protector.To combat the overwhelming criminal element, now running rampant, Batman repairs an old Robocop unit and now a new brand of justice is born! If that's not enough goodness for Ya The film will also have Bats squaring off against one of Horror Film's most notorious Killers. BATMAN:INTERLUDE-After defeating Ras Al Ghul and the Scarecrow in BATMAN BEGINS all is still not well in the city of Gotham. A new criminal has surfaced in the troubled City commiting despicable acts and leaving behind a single piece of evidence, a Joker card. Harvey Dent and The Dark Knight must work together to track down the mysterious criminal and bring him to justice. Batman Interlude takes place after BATMAN BEGINS and before the coming sequel. WEAPON X:HELL UNLEASHED-This Fan Film is based on the Weapon X storyline by Comics legend Barry Windsor Smith which originally appeared in the comic Marvel Comics Presents. BLUE AND GOLD-Chris Notarile is truly keeping busy with yet another DC Comics based Fan Film on the way! This particular film will feature one of My favorite duo's of all time. Here is the synopsis of the upcoming project..Blue and Gold- Quite possibly the most under appreciated dynamic duo in comics to date, Blue and Gold is the 1st movie to finally bring together the top of the B list superheroes- Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. In this ultimate team up, these Super Buddies get into a huge arguement that brings their friendship to a critical point. But when the evil Dr.Lite's plans threaten the city, its up to Blue and Gold to put aside their differences and come together to kick evil in the ass one more time." This one sounds like it's gonna rule for sure!

SUPERMAN REBORN - Thanks to Our good buddy JS over at Nemezis Pictures Fanboy Theatre has gotten word of their exciting new project which will be a Smallville/Superman crossover style Fan Film called SUPERMAN REBORN. As most of You guys know Fan Films feature actors that somewhat resemble the characters they are portraying, that's what sets this film apart from all the others because Nemezis Pictures went that extra mile and found two people who are literally mirror images of the characters they are playing. Laurent Collin-Szlejer looks like He could be Tom Welling's long lost twin brother. He's got the height, the build, and the looks of a young Man Of Steel, and Emilie Berthiaume, who stars as Lana Lang in the film, is the spitting image of Kristin Kreuk. Being a huge Fan of both SMALLVILLE and Superman in general I am super psyched to see this one! The film uses a brilliant mix of actual clips from the Smallville TV series along with all original footage which looks like it came straight from The WB. In this film Tom Welling Fans will finally get a taste of what He would have looked like if they chose Him to put on the ol' Blue and Red in the newest Superman film. THE BLUE BEETLE-The hardest working Man in Fan Films (Chris Notarile of Blinky Productions) is coming Your way once again with another DC Comics based project! This time around it's The Blue Beetle getting the spotlight. This will be Mr. Notarile's second film featuring The Blue Beetle, His first film featuring the Ted Kord version of The Beetle will be BLUE AND GOLD (see above) due out soon. I've spoken to Mr. Notarile about His plans for The Beetle film and from what He tells Me We have all got something to look forward to. LOGAN-Coming Your way from Deadland Productions, Nu Blood Productions, and Director Cadaver Jack comes this new Fan Film featuring everyones favorite Adamantium laced Canuck, Wolverine! This film will be feature length, exploring the depth of the character. The makers promise gritty realism and lots of action, sounds like a good recipe to Me :-) The film is currently in Pre-Production and filming is scheduled for July. SPIDERMAN:ORIGINS-Coming Your way from Director Randy Swilley and JL Productions comes this Fan Film based on Everyone's favorite wacky wallcrawler. I don't know much about the plot as of yet, but I do know that in the film five people will learn Spidey's secret identity. The film will also feature a virtual who's who of the Spidey Universe including Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, Ben & May Parker, J. Jonah Jameson, and Nick Fury to name a few. The films main Baddies will be Venom, Green Goblin, and The Rhino. Look for appearances by The Chameleon, Kraven The Hunter, and Black Cat towards the end of the film. BATMAN VS. NIGHTWING:A FALLEN HERO-When Batman and Nightwing become tired of the toll crimefighting has had on their personal lives one of them decides to indulge in their dark side. TEEN TITANS-Fans of both the comic book and animated series should be psyched about an upcoming Teen Titans Fan Film on the way! Director Gil Herbert and Maximum/MXM Entertainment's film will focus on the core members of the animated series lineup, but will also feature past and future members of the team. The synopsis of the film will be based on a story arc from George Perez and Marv Wolfman's stint on THE NEW TEEN TITANS as well as the Cartoon Network animated series TEEN TITANS. The creators describe the feel of the film as a SMALLVILLE meets X-MEN approach. BATMAN:ASHES TO ASHES-A quick behind the scenes Featurette is currently available for the upcoming Batman Fan Film "Batman:Ashes To Ashes". This film is French made and unfortunately there is currently no plot synopsis available in English on their official Myspace page, But it is on the way. SPIDER-MAN:YEAR OF THE SYMBIOTE-Coming soon from Director Eric David and Anarchy Demonz Productions is this Spider-Man Fan Film that will be the first in a series. This film will feature Bullseye as the main baddie. This film is currently in production, but we will keep you updated as things progress. GHOSTBUSTERS OZ- In this upcoming film a failed Ghostbusters franchise in Austrailia find themselves back in business when a powerful supernatural force rears it's ugly head in The Land Down Under, threatening to end life on Earth as we know it. BATMAN 1969 - This upcoming Batman Fan Film is a little bit different from all the rest. Why you ask? simple, This one is based on the classic 1960's TV show starring Mr. Adam West. At the same time, it will also pay homage to the classic TV series The FBI. Meant to be a fifth season to the original series, Batman 1969 will explore the tragic days of Wayne's youth up to the present. Batman will really have his hands full in this one taking on a mob boss and a villain never featured on the 60's series, The Scarecrow! Other characters are slated to make appearances in the film so keep your eye on this one. This film is brought to you by Frontenac Media and is currently in production. SPIDER-MAN:FINAL ACT- A brand new Spidey Fan Film is in the works up in the Great White North! Director Nathan Schwenk and Schwenk Productions are currently in pre-production on their very own Spider-Man Fan Film, Spider-Man:Final Act. The film will feature a slew of your favorite Spidey baddies as well as an appearance by a certain blind attorney who's quite handy with a billyclub. This film will be a feature length sixty minutes. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN-Spidey fans looking for a little something different will definitely want to keep an eye out for this series of Spider-Man mini-films exploring the earliest origins of the character. Covering the years 1962-1964 the series will consist of several mini-films, similar to a TV show episode format. This one promises to be big with appearances from the likes of Electro, The Sandman, and Daredevil (rocking his old school yellow and black duds.) Very cool concept, I like! BRAVE NEW WORLD:RAVAGED PLANET - Based on the popular role-playing game by creator Matt Forbeck, Brave New World:Ravaged Planet is the story of a futuristic Chicago overrun by corruption and evil. THE UNDERTAKERS:ROADS END - This upcoming "live-action film with a comic book feel", will introduce us to a new team of unlikely heroes. BATMAN:FEAR-Comin' straight outta Germany is this new Batman Fan Film by Director Allessandro Romualdi. Don't know much about the plot yet, but I do know that the film will have guest appearances by Superboy, Robin, Scarecrow, and The Joker. More info will be made available as soon as I receive it. CYBORTRON- Based on the original Japanese Sentei series, Metalder, Cybortron is an American made Fan Film that will contain actual footage from the original series, along with original music and effects. The synopsis goes a little somethin' like this..Adam Steel, the teen who becomes the robot hero, Cybortron, will battle the evil forces of Grimlord, and his army of Wardrone Soldiers. The film is still in it's early stages of development, but, from what i gather, when complete the film will have a PG-13 rating for violence, language, and adult content. TEKKEN:THE KING OF IRON FIST-Gamers have yet another reason to celebrate with the upcoming release of a Tekken based Fan Film! Director R.L. Scott, and the fine folks of Shadow Motion Pictures, look to have the short film online soon, check back for more info on this project as we receive it. The short will star Various characters from the legendary games, with Jin Kazama and Bryan Fury as the main combatants (See Pic).
